How do I buy something on BuyorMeet?▾
Tap a listing and choose Reserve (small deposit, pay the rest at meetup) or Buy Now (full amount paid with Stripe, held in escrow until you confirm the item). Message the seller through the listing page for questions.
How do I sell on BuyorMeet?▾
Tap the + button, add photos, title, price, category, condition, and location. Turn on pickup and/or shipping. To receive payouts, connect your Stripe Connect account in Settings.
When do I get paid as a seller?▾
For Buy-Now orders, funds are released to your Stripe account 7 days after the buyer confirms delivery. For Reserve orders, you collect the balance at the meetup. A platform fee of 8% (of the sale price) is deducted from Buy-Now payouts.
My deposit was charged but the seller didn't show up — what now?▾
Open the transaction and tap "Cancel" if you haven't confirmed yet. Expired reservations auto-refund after 48 hours. If you've already met up and paid the balance, file a dispute within 7 days.
How do disputes work?▾
Open the transaction → "Report an issue". Select a reason, add details and photos. Your deposit is frozen until it's resolved. We review and decide within a few business days.
I got scammed — what should I do?▾
1) File a dispute in the app. 2) If the other party is dangerous, contact local authorities. 3) Report the user to us (see below). We take scams seriously and will refund within our escrow window when the evidence supports it.
How do I delete my account?▾
Settings → "Delete account". This permanently removes your account, listings, and messages. Transaction records are retained as required by law. You can also email privacy@buyormeet.com.
How do I report a listing or user?▾
Tap the ⋯ menu on any listing or user profile → "Report". Select a reason (scam, prohibited item, harassment, counterfeit, other). We review every report within 24 hours.
Stay safe when meeting up
- Meet in public, well-lit places.
- Bring a friend when possible.
- Inspect the item before handing over cash.
- Never share your login or 2FA codes.
- If it feels off, walk away — we will refund an unused deposit.
